Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Spears, III proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Wendy L. Spears to Mr. Hebrew Lathan Dixon, III.
Hebrew earned a degree in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He is President/CEO of Circle D Enterprices/Construction Company.
Wendy earned a degree in Social Work from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She is employed as a Mental Health Professional at the Living Well Centre. Wendy is also a New York based flight attendant with United Airlines.
The couple plan to exchange vows at Union Baptist Church this fall with the Rev. Kenneth Hammond officiating.

Dr. and Mrs. Christopher T. Steele Sr. of War Admiral Way in North Potomac, Maryland, announce the birth of their daughter, Calista Alexandria Steele on October 11, 2009 at 3:08 p.m. at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. She weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz., and was 21 1/4 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Madison S. Yarbrough II, of Durham, and the paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Steele, of Haysi, Va.
Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Madison S. Yarbrough Jr., of Durham.
God parents are her great aunt, Janet Yarbrough of Durham, and her uncle, Kevin Kryscio of Durham.
