A decade ago, UNC Chapel Hill film students started a film festival with a handful of people. What began as a way to showcase short films by students in the Carolina Production Guild has transformed into a community festival with 51 short films from across the country and overseas. It starts tonight with the "Outdoor Block" showing at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro. (This block was originally scheduled for the Wallace Parking Deck, but was moved because of the threat from Hanna. Tonight's late night block and Saturday's two blocks will all be screened at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro.
