Group opposes tax on meals, backs Obama, Hagan, Perdue

DURHAM -- The influential Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People has endorsed Democrat Barack Obama for president and overwhelmingly opposed a Durham prepared-food tax, the group's chairwoman, Lavonia Allison, said.
